SCS Gala Dinner – IT Leaders Awards 2011
SCS is proud to have conferred the IT Leader Awards on four distinguished individuals during the Gala Dinner on 4 March 2011. The top IT achievers are Ms Tan Yen Yen (IT Leader of the Year), Mr Lee Kwok Cheong (Hall of Fame), Mr Douglas Gan (Young Professional of the Year) and Mr Vishnu Prem (IT Youth).

CITREP Expanded
The Critical Infocomm Technology Resource Programme (CITREP) was established by IDA in 1996 with the objective to accelerate the development of emerging, critical and specialised infocomm skills to meet Singapore’s infocomm manpower needs. The CITREP Expanded programme is one of many initiatives under MDEV 2.0. From 1 April 2011, the focus will be expanded to cover new and emerging areas, such as Business Analytics, Cloud Computing, Green Infocomm. Training courses and certifications in the following skill areas imparting knowledge and skills at specialist level and
above will be evaluated and endorsed under CITREP Expanded:
Critical Infocomm Skills
Data Integration and Information Management
Infrastructure and Network Management
ICT in Media and Entertainment
IT Services and Business Management
Software Development
Emerging Infocomm Skills
Business Analytics
Cloud Computing
Green Infocomm
Infocomm Security
Mobile Application Development
Infrastructure/Network/Software Design Architecture
The new funding quantum will be capped at either 50% or 70% depending on the skill category and whether the course meets the stipulated endorsement criteria. Full details are available from 1 April 2011 on the programme website, (www.ida.gov.sg/citrep).
