Today I am going to share about the all-time-favorite denim brand, LEVI’S ! I believed everyone knows and familiar with the brand. It can be found almost everywhere in Singapore. Think of denim, think of Levi’s!
Do you know that Levi’s has been around for 140 awesome year?
That’s so incredibly amazing!
To celebrate 140 years of the iconic Levi’s Jean, they are showcasing 501 Style from all of the world.
About 501® INTERPRETATION
No other product has been worn, loved or re-imagined quite like Levi’s® 501® jeans.
A symbol of individuality and universality – the 501® jean is the ultimate expression of personal style
– worn by the pioneers who shape our world, generation after generation.
And 140 years later, it is more popular and even more relevant to global culture and style than ever before.
Now, let’s talk more about Levi’s 501 Jean!
When Levi Strauss partnered with tailor Jacob Davis in 1873 on a patent for riveted pockets on work pants for Western pioneers, they couldn’t have dreamed of its impact on modern culture. The Levi’s® 501® button fly jean – the original and first ever blue jean was born on May 20, 1873. And 140 years later, it is more popular and even more relevant to global culture and style than ever before.
From presidents to movie stars, farmers to fashion icons, entrepreneurs to the every man, the cultural significance of Levi’s® 501® jeans has been defined by the people who wear them. No other product has been worn, loved or re-imagined quite like Levi’s® 501® jeans.
A symbol of individuality and universality – the 501® jean is the ultimate expression of personal style.

Throughout the ages, Levi’s® 501® jeans have constantly evolved and adapted to stay relevant to each new generation, while never losing their distinct heritage. The next generation of Levi’s® 501® jeans and non-denim pants, give the wearer a slightly tighter silhouette, more comfort around the waist, feature slightly larger pockets to store your latest smart phone, and have a shallower yoke for a cleaner aesthetic. They also feature stronger stitching and reinforced belt loops, inseams, buttonholes and cuffs.

Levi’s® 501®
Shrink to Fit jeans are the original Levi’s® 501® Button Fly jeans that feature the original Shrink to Fit, 12.5oz. cotton rigid denim fabric The fit has changed over the years. 501’s are no longer the tight skinny jeans you remember from the 80’s. Levi has gone back to their “Original Fit”, meaning they are a little looser in the seat and through the thigh, and don’t look like they’re painted on.
They are raw, rough, and as pure as jeans can be, Shrink-to-Fit™ is the real deal.
Before 1984, this was the only way you could get your jeans. Not washing them for 6 months and dragging them behind cars was all part of the breaking-in process. These are for all you denim purists who want to leave a mark— every crease, tiny hole, paint splatter, and fray will be your very own.

SAME AS ALWAYS LIKE NEVER BEFORE
In 1873, Levi’s created blue jeans. Today, they’ve reinvented them. Expand your style with the original 501®, now in twill and bold colors.
THE ORIGINAL KEEPS GETTING BETTER
Originally designed for American frontiersmen in the late 1800s, Levi’s® 501® jeans are the jeans that started it all. Better stitching, finer threads and stronger buttons are just some of the details we continue to improve and obsess over. No wonder it’s the ultimate blue jean.
TAILORED TO PERFECTION Pure and simple,
Levi’s® 501® jeans sit at the waist and are cut with a straight leg and classic seat and thigh. Versatile enough for a laid-back or sophisticated look, the definitive silhouette comes in a variety of colors and finishes.
Time to win attractive prizes!
“501® Interpretation” celebrates the range of expressions of unique personal style. Share your 501® look which best represents your individual 501® style interpretation and be part of Levi’s gallery. This initiative calls for diversity in subjects and styling – the only consistent thread is the 501® jean in the photo. Subjects can be both men and women; 501® can be cut-off, tie-dyed or heavily tailored.
All interpretations are fair game. Stand to win attractive prizes if your 501® looks get selected by Levi’s!

Weeks ago, I visited The Levi’s Lady’s store at Vivo City, Unfortunately I was informed that 501 collection for ladies in not in Singapore yet. That’s so sad! But anyway, here’s some interesting pieces that I decided to try on.
Here’s the first one!
I do not like plain boring jeans and I was delighted to find out that actually, Levi’s jeans are exciting. Just look at what I found. A pair of jeans with some embroidery at the back? That’s so cool and unique.
I paired it with a very nice and neat shirt. I love the shirt shown below very much and it matches my hair colour very well.
Here’s the detail of the shirt! I love the cutting, the material, the colour, everything about the shirt. The jeans look good on me too. Ps: I am not someone who likes to/often wear jeans. So, when I say that it is really nice, I really mean it.
Commercial break: Don’t you think that my new hair colour is awesome? =D
Price of the apparels on me: // Jeans SGD 169.90 // Shirt SGD 99.90
Move on to another interesting piece, A pair of jeans from Levi’s spring 2013 collection. Who says that denim has to be blue? It can be in any colour! I will talk more about Levi’s Spring/Summer collection in my next blogpost.
This grey jeans is very comfortable and can be easily matched with almost any top! Do you noticed that the pocket at the back looks like a heart shape? That so cute, don’t you think so?
Price of the apparels on me: Jeans SGD 139.90, Shirt SGD 99.90
My Interpretation is “LIKE A BOSS”
The moment I put on my Levi’s jeans, I feels like a super model. =D It boosts my confidence! Feeling confident in what I’m wearing is as important as looking my best. What’s your interpretation?
